2013 National Parade
Today is 5th, October, the day of National Parade of R.O.C. in Chicago!
Held in Chinatown, the event gathered lots of Taiwanese students, their family members and friends who also wanna enjoy the atmosphere of happiness. We can see the American and R.O.C. flags decorated the whole Chinatown area; at the same time, almost everyone held a flag, shaking passionately in their hands.
There were even some guys wearing in the colors consistent to the R.O.C. flag, and put the stickers on their faces! If it’s not cool and eye-catching, what else could it be?
We especially thank 2 TSA boards, Carol and Hsiu-Ming, carrying the huge flags in the front of the parade throughout the event. It’s with the great honor to show our passion and patriotism to ones, who join the event and the others, though not in the parade, giving us big hands and cheers!
There is also a typical Taiwanese traditional show - the dragon & lion dance.
Let's meet more guys in the parade!
"WE ARE UCHICAGO LA!"
NTU flag even shows up! How surprising!
One of our handsome and promising boards, Victor. It's a pity (for single ladies) that he has engaged recently. Best wishes!!!
Every staff in this event is greeting with great passion to all of us! After introducing UChicago and passing by the stage, "OK, now go back and study hard." says the MC. So appropriate and kind reminder, isn't it? But wait...it sounds like we're labelled - we won't do anything but study...Uhh...
Parading around the Chinatown, finally we reached the 禮義廉恥 gate! Hurray!
We enjoyed a great afternoon with happiness in Chinatown. Please join us and see you guys next year!
